Lil Durk loves the Bulls.

Lil Durk, a Chicago artist, has always supported his city, especially its sports teams. Despite Chicago sports having a tough time in recent years, he remains optimistic about their future. Recently, he celebrated the Chicago Sky’s addition of Angel Reese to their team. Now, it appears Durk is setting his sights on the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls are in need of some extra talent, as they’ve been struggling to secure a solid playoff spot. Durk seems determined to help elevate the team. He recently shared a screenshot of his DMs with none other than LeBron James, inviting him to join the Bulls and bring his son Bronny along. Durk even offered to contribute financially to make it happen, tagging the Bulls and suggesting he would go halfsies on LeBron’s contract.

It appears LeBron James plans to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers. While this might be disappointing for Durk, it seems to be the reality. Kendrick Lamar has a chance to acquire a replica of one of 2Pac’s iconic rings. Maksud Agadjani, a New York City-based jeweler, proposed selling the piece to Lamar in a Facebook video on Monday. The offer follows Lamar’s alteration of the lyrics to his song “Euphoria” during The Pop Out – Ken & Friends, where he added: “Give me 2Pac’s ring back and I might give you a little respect.”

“Kendrick is telling Drake to give up 2Pac’s ring,” Agadjani explained while showcasing the piece. “Well, this is 2Pac’s ring right here — a replica of the original one purchased by Drake, and Kendrick’s not happy about that. Hey Kendrick, if you can’t get the ring back on your own, you can always buy this one from traxnyc.com. Trey wasn’t feeling the vibe, it seems. On June 25, Trey Songz surprised fans by posting clips from an unreleased music video featuring himself and Tyga. He also explained why the video was never released. It wasn’t due to any issues with Tyga or record label complications. In fact, everyone except Trey Songz was on board with releasing the video. The singer revealed that he chose to scrap the collaboration because of the casting choices, specifically the lack of black female representation.

Songz was disappointed that the music video did not feature enough black women. “Archives,” he confirmed in the caption. “I scrapped this video because it wasn’t enough Black women in it. In Spain last time somebody called me n***er didn’t feel right [shrug shoulders emoticon].” He made it clear that there were no hard feelings between him and Tyga. “Song cold tho,” he added. “Traw my dawg @tyga.” While some praised his sentiment, most users in Trey Songz’s comment section criticized him for his reasoning.

Something will happen.” Bando Stone in the New World is billed as a “soundtrack,” a concept Childish Gambino has explored before. His 2013 album Because the Internet was packaged with a screenplay, with scenes meant to be listened to alongside specific songs from the album. The Alchemist and Jay-Z have known each other for decades, having first met in New York in the early 2000s. The producer recalled this during a For the Record interview. “[Jay] leaned in my ear and was like, ‘Yo when you gonna stop wasting them beats?'” he recounted. Jay-Z facilitated The Alchemist’s collaboration with Beanie Sigel and even listened to the producer’s breakout beat, “We Gonna Make It.” Although Jay-Z passed on the beat, which later went to Jadakiss, The Alchemist remains hopeful about their future collaboration.

Quando Rondo was on the fast track to stardom in the 2010s, but legal problems reared their ugly head. The rapper was sued for assault and battery in 2019, then was linked to a shooting at an Atlanta club in 2020. It got even worse in 2023. Rondo was arrested in June on charges related to drug sales and gang activity. He was released on bond, but arrested in December when the case turned federal. He pled not guilty to all charges. On June 25, 2024, the rapper decided to cop a plea deal.

United States Attorney Jill E. Steinberg filed documentation in the United States District Court Southern District of Georgia on Tuesday. The documentation stated that both sides have agreed to a plea deal. The details of the plea deal, however, were not revealed to the public. The judge presiding over the case has yet to make a decision on said deal. Quando Rondo is currently looking at two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act. He’s also charged with the use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substances.

The rapper has made an attempt to turn his life around in light of these serious charges. Quando Rondo recently celebrated eight months of sobriety on Instagram. “I been sober 8 months straight,” he wrote in the caption. “I came along way boy. Thats the only thing I appreciate about this life I finally love being sober. I used to take so many drugs. Tblacc & Pluto them used to say I’m tripping but I’m surprised I didn’t OD. Thats just mean that I’m here 4 a reason.”

The rapper has also had to contend with hate from King Von fans. The aforementioned Atlanta shooting led to Von’s death, and many of his fans hold Quando Rondo partially responsible. The latter addressed this hate during a recent No Jumper interview. “When God call your as home you got to go, brother,” he opined. “So, I feel like everybody who is against me because of a past situation, I don’t give a f*k about them because they never been my fans from the get-go.”

Don Toliver is on the ascent. The singular artist just scored the best first-week sales of his career with Hardstone Psycho, and for good reason. The album represents Toliver’s most ambitious and musically diverse set of songs yet. It’s easy to see why Travis Scott signed Don Toliver to his label back in 2018, and has since collaborated with him on multiple hits. Both Scott and Toliver lean into the woozy, trippy side of trap music, which means they’re often on the same page. A collab album between the two rap stars would be mind-boggling, and according to Toliver, it’s a real possibility.

The artist discussed his relationship with Travis Scott during a recent GQ profile. He praised the label boss for his artistry, and admitted that they”ve only grown closer as a collaborators. “I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m going to tell you this: I love Travis so much,” Don Toliver noted. “And me and him just, we grow together.” The outlet asked whether fans could expect to hear a joint album, and the artist said that it could be coming sooner than fans expect. “You can just about expect possibly anything from us,” he explained. “I can’t sit here and be like, ‘Oh, we’re doing the album next year.’ But I mean, I can just say this: me and Travis, it’d be a beautiful thing. And it doesn’t look too far away on the horizon. So, we’ll see.”
